How to disable/enable caching in prestashop

Prestashop uses smarty web caching tool, to cache HTML, javascript, CSS code for the faster server response. But When we do some changes in the core files or tpl file, we cannot see the changes on the main website. Why ?, Because the *.tpl files are cached and saved in a cache folder, so you can either stop or disable caching until you completely done with updating code. Or you can simply clear the cache everytime you change into something. So in this blog post, am gone share, how you can enable/disable caching in PrestaShop.

Step 1: Go to your back office of PrestaShop. 

After you login into your back office of PrestaShop find the configure tab in the left sidebar of the back office.

Step 2: Open advanced parameters -> performance section. 

Step 3: Enable/disable cache

Once you open the performance section from the back office, then you can see something like this.

Then you can either enable cache or disable cache from the toggles given on the page.

Make sure after toggling you hit that save button, and also after successfully saving it make sure you have cleared the cache. If you are disabling the cache.

That’s it you have done with PrestaShop caching enabling and disabling part.
